Paul Braverman Appointed to Leerink Board of Managers

Boston, MA – October 15, 2013— Leerink Swann Holdings, LLC, the parent company of Leerink Swann LLC, a leading investment bank to both emerging and established companies that are shaping the future of healthcare, today announced the appointment of former Wellington Chief Financial Officer, Paul Braverman, to its Board of Managers.

“Paul has had an extraordinarily successful career in financial services and has extensive board experience across many industries,” said Jeffrey A. Leerink, Chairman and CEO of Leerink Swann. “His perspective will be invaluable as we continue to grow the firm’s capabilities.”

Mr. Braverman added, “Leerink Swann has established itself as a leader in healthcare investment banking with its unparalleled combination of deep domain knowledge, extensive client relationships and execution excellence. I am delighted to join the Board at Leerink Swann and look forward to what the firm can accomplish in the future.”

Mr. Braverman had a 22 year-long tenure as a Partner and CFO at Wellington Management Company, until his retirement in 2007. Prior to Wellington, he served as Corporate Pension Manager and Tax Counsel for Digital Equipment Corporation for eight years and held senior tax positions at Data Terminal Systems and Arthur Young & Co. Mr. Braverman has also been a Director of Courier Corporation (Nasdaq: CRRC) since 2009, where he serves on multiple committees. He also serves on the Boards of Claren Road Asset Management LLC, MPAM USS Credit Fund Ltd. and Aesir Capital Management, and is a Trustee of Grantham, Mayo, and Van Otterloo and Co., LLC, an Overseer of the New England Conservatory, and a member of the Partners HealthCare Real Estate Committee.

Mr. Braverman is an attorney, a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association and the US Tax Court, and is a Certified Public Accountant. He holds a BS degree in Business Administration from Boston University and a J.D. degree from the Boston University School of Law.
