Senior Managing Director, Tech Investment Banking

Roger Knight is a Senior Managing Director of Tech Investment Banking at SVB Securities. He has nearly two decades of experience and is primarily focused on the Enterprise Software sector with domain expertise spanning infrastructure software and security.

Roger joined the firm in 2022 from Lincoln International where he most recently led coverage of infrastructure software. Prior to Lincoln, Roger was a founding member of Pacific Crest Securities’ M&A group leading up to and through Pacific Crest’s acquisition by KeyBanc Capital Markets. He previously advised software clients in both capital markets and M&A transactions at Deutsche Bank, Oppenheimer and WR Hambrecht.

His deal experience includes multiple completed advisory assignments on behalf of Code42 and Perforce Software, respectively, in addition to the sale of clients such as Dynatrace, HVR Software and Mobileum. Also, he has advised on successful growth financings for clients such as jamf, Redwood Software, Tricentis and Wasabi.

He earned his Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University. Currently, Roger serves as a trustee of Regis High School.
